The SearchTool was once made with the intention to search only in the Google(TM) Newsgroup posts and started as GGZoek, but because of the many options that where build in, it was released as the Google(c)SearchTool (23-12-2000). Now that was not a good move, (But I did not expect to see the tool on LockerGnome, so how could I know?) the tool became popular and Google(TM) asked to change te name so it would not confuse the users. So that is why it is called GGSearch! Thanks to the kind permisson of Google(TM) we all can use the SearchTool en sleep well at night!
